Rice, noodles (buckwheat and white wheat), yakitori (skewered chicken and vegetables grilled), sushi and sashimi, sukiyaki and shabu-shabu (beef and vegetables cooked at the table in broth), tempura (of course!), fried oysters, lots of shrimp, hiroshima-yaki (an egg based savory pancake made with noodles, fried eggs and more), tofu, edamane (soy beans), miso :( ,wasabi, pickled vegetables...
We ate many unidentified foods too. As far as I know we missed eel and fugu, the notoriously deadly pufferfish.
